AQIPP 2021 “Where in the World?

Judy Robinson Whitty, AQIPP Convenor

Australian Quilts In Public Places is an initiative of the Australian Quilters Association Inc. (AQA)

This exhibition aims to promote quilting as an art form by inviting quilters from all around Australia to exhibit original works demonstrating their interpretations of a given theme.

Since 1997, nine AQIPP exhibitions have been mounted by AQA, the five most recent being held at the Whitehorse Art Space, Box Hill.

The tenth AQIPP exhibition will be held over five weeks in November / December 2021, once again at Whitehorse Art Space. The theme of AQIPP 2021 will be “Where in the World?”.

AQIPP is a juried, judged and sponsored exhibition with awards generously donated by our sponsors.

In 2019, over 60 quilts were exhibited with 150 people attending the opening night and over 2000 visitors to the exhibition itself. Lots of quilts makes for a varied and exciting exhibition so we invite both new and past entrants to “have a go” and be part of it.
