This information is provided when you are experiencing issues uploading Apple HEIC format images to the AQIPP online entry form. On that Apple device, you can change the saved image format to JPG prior to taking your photo.
How To
To access the camera format compatibility mode on an Apple device, go to Settings > Camera > Formats and select “Most Compatible“; this will ensure your photos are saved in JPEG format instead of the default HEIC (High Efficiency Image Format), making them more compatible with other devices and platforms.
“Most Compatible“: This option will save your photos as JPEGs, which are widely supported across different devices and applications.
“High Efficiency“: This is the default setting on Apple devices, which uses the HEIC format, offering smaller file sizes while maintaining good image quality.
When to use “Most Compatible“: If you frequently need to share photos with people using older devices or platforms that might not support HEIC, choose “Most Compatible“.
